At Samwood and Co we take you and your business into account

Samwood and Co is a Bicester based firm of Chartered Certified Accountants. The firm has the traditional values you would expect to find with any professional firm of accountants, such as honesty, integrity, accessibility and value for money but one which uses modern methods and tools to help you gain the most from your business in a way that suits you. The work carried out by your accountant should enhance the team you already have and thus work with you. They should not be seen as a necessary cost to help you through the maze of legislation which, as a business owner or charity, you need to adhere to  Instead consider them an investment in your business to help you achieve results more efficiently and effectively.

The principal, Dionne Sherwood, has worked with small owner managed businesses, charities and individuals since 2003, within a number of small accountancy practices around Oxfordshire. She has also spent some time working in industry for a small owner managed business. This means that we really have experience of and understand the problems that your business may go through.

As a result of Dionne’s career history  we know what clients like to see and what they don’t. A big issue for many clients is fees. At Samwood and Co we work on a fixed fee basis. You will know, before the job is started, how much the fee is going to be. You wouldn’t purchase other items for use in your business without knowing the cost in advance, so why should you suddenly be faced with a larger accountancy bill than you were expecting?

We also make a point of listening to the client. We take into account what they want to do, not want the accountant wants them to do and put forward the advantages and disadvantages of a situation. We try to explain things fully so that the client has a clear understanding of the situation. Ultimately, the client makes the final decision.

Although Samwood and Co is a small firm, it has a significant support network to call upon which can meet your every business need.
