Inheritance tax

Not a tax you will pay on your own assets, but may be paid by those to whom you leave your assets, unless you have looked at the number of ways in which this tax can be minimised.

Sadly, it is no longer a tax on the rich. If you have assets totalling £325,000 (£610,000 for a married couple) or more (how much is your house worth?) your estate could be subject to 40% inheritance tax on the excess.
